Blain-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 'Morgeot' 1er Cru 2018

This too is presently suffering from post-bottling reduction, but the underlying fruit does seem quite ripe. More interesting are the very rich, indeed almost lush, larger-scaled flavours that manage to be both caressing yet powerful, all wrapped in a lingering bitter lemon-inflected finale. As is typically the case with many examples of Morgeot, this isn't elegant, but it is certainly delicious.
