A Legacy of Excellence
Since its establishment in 1818, Billecart Salmon has been guided by a lineage of dedicated individuals across six generations. Today, the seventh generation carries forward the family's legacy. Fueled by their shared passion for wine, each family member has contributed their unique touch to the House while upholding its visionary approach of prioritizing quality and pursuing excellence.
Leading the House is Mathieu Roland-Billecart, the seventh-generation family member, along with Antoine, the Deputy General Manager in charge of export, and with the support of Jean and François Roland-Billecart.
A Blend of Expertise and Terroir
The champagnes of Maison Billecart-Salmon are meticulously crafted, drawing upon the expertise of the men who diligently cultivate a 100-hectare estate. The grapes are sourced from 300 hectares encompassing 40 crus within the Champagne region.
The majority of the grapes used for vinification are sourced within a 20-kilometre radius of Epernay, where the ethereal vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, and the Côte des Blancs converge. This unique combination of Grand Crus—Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay—results in exceptional champagnes.

Even before obtaining the High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture certifications in Champagne in 2017, the House was devoted to managing its vineyards with the utmost environmental respect.
The philosophy of the House is simple: respecting the terroir is the key to producing outstanding wines. This approach extends beyond a mere strategy—it is a long-term mindset that entails constant self-assessment and continual progress.
