Yalumba's winemaking embraces the art of letting go, incorporating specific philosophies into their vineyards and winery. This commitment includes the adoption of organic and vegan-friendly practices, as well as wild fermentation.

The goal is to create wines of distinction that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their dietary preferences. The decision to achieve 100% vegan-friendly wine status stemmed from a desire to produce more expressive and delicious wines. By avoiding animal products such as gelatin, milk, and eggs, Yalumba preserves the delectable fruit flavours and textures they work so hard to achieve, resulting in wines that are unintentionally vegan.

Working in Harmony with Nature

Yalumba has been crafting organic wines since 2005 and, with an increasing supply of Australian-certified organic grapes, these wines are now more readily available. Organic wines are cultivated without the use of artificial chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides.

The commitment to being harmonious with the natural environment extends beyond the Organics collection, which currently offers Shiraz, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Pinot Grigio. The theories and practices of organic grape growing and winemaking are evident across all of Yalumba's estate vineyards and the winery.
