Description

Domaine Bessin-Tremblay was established in its current form in 1989 by Jean-Claude and Evelyne Bessin, though the Bessin family has been involved in viticulture in Chablis since the 19th century. The estate is based in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, just north of Chablis, and today farms approximately 12 hectares of vineyards across the Chablis, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru classifications.

Derived from the domaine's oldest vines, meticulously planted between 1950 and 1974, this wine holds the esteemed title of the Domaine's flagship, consistently garnering accolades from both critics and connoisseurs alike. Crafted with precision, the use of stainless steel and neutral oak in fermentation and maturation underscores its commitment to accentuating the pure essence of fruit, minerality, and saline notes.

Tasting Profile
Nose

Aromas of lemon oil, yellow apple, and ripe pear, supported by hints of white flowers and crushed stone.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is broad yet controlled, with bright acidity shaping a layered mid-palate of citrus and orchard fruit. A pronounced mineral component gives the wine grip and direction, while subtle phenolic texture adds depth without heaviness.
