Distinctive aromatics. Leathery, almost gamey, with potpourri and roasted plums, blackberry, bay and clove flavours. It’s both soft and zesty, beety and earthen, but also sweet and floral. You get an array. You get an experience. It’s so different to the Hill of Roses, but obviously no lesser. Life. It tastes like a life well lived, or an expression of that, though it’s certainly a wine of vigour. As you drink it the word classic lands in your mind.
