A well-layered and dense nose features notes of anise, earth, underbrush, violets and both red and blue pinot fruit aromas. There is very good volume to the large-scaled and dense yet quite supple flavours that possess excellent length. This is impeccably well-balanced and should require 15 years or so to arrive at its peak.
