Blain-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru 2018

Notes of petrol, citrus, pear and a whiff of tangerine peel combine to serve as a pretty introduction to the round, delicious and relatively forward flavours that possess a succulent mouthfeel where the richness is offset by an agreeably dry and persistent saline-inflected finish. This isn't a classic example of a steely Caillerets but rather one that should drink well young and repay a few years of cellaring too.
