Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 'La Maltroie' 1er Cru 2023
The domaine is extremely proud to cultivate the family’s vines in the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious appellations. It currently covers 8.55 hectares of surface under vine in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint- Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges.
Fourth-generation vigneron Bruno Colin is privileged to work at some of the most prestigious sites in his home village of Chassagne-Montrachet. The house style could be described as a classical expression of these great climats, offering Burgundian terroir with lovely texture, class, and precision. His generic Bourgogne blanc is anything but generic: aged in barrels alongside his top growths, it delivers a blast of clean, pure, chalky Chardonnay fruit with plenty of complexity. It makes for a wonderfully approachable introduction to the great whites of the Côte de Beaune.
This is a robust and opulent wine. It is rich and concentrated with notes of spice, candied citrus, stone fruits, toasted almonds and a floral touch. A precise, well-structured, savory and very delicate wine.
