Thistledown Gorgeous Grenache 2023

While Thistledown put extraordinary effort into highlighting unique single-vineyard characteristics of Grenache, their love of the grape also leads them to create a more approachable style for everyday drinking.

That’s what this wine is - fruit sourced from a number of vineyards with the goal of making a slurpable, easy going Grenache for weekday consumption. Lots of lovely red berry fruit, classic varietal perfume, with good length and a nice finish; an everyday Aussie banger.

Fermenting each parcel of fruit naturally on its own, their aim is to create a harmonious wine that pleases the palate; well done gents, mission accomplished.

Sourced from a number of old vineyards in the Riverland and McLaren Vale, some of which are dry grown bush vines.
All vineyards are vinified in small batches, separately. Wild ferments, whole bunch inclusion, larger oak and no filtration or fining help define the delicious, energetic character of the wine.
