Description
Although Ichiro Akutu has released single-cask bottlings with age statements before, this is the first official ten-year-old bottling from the Chichibu distillery. Expected to be a mainstay in the line-up going forward, this coming-of-age whisky was aged in a combination of Bourbon casks and mizunara oak.

Tasting Profile
Palate
Appealing brioche and pastry characters on both the nose and palate, along with the full, round and gently sweet mouthfeel. It's a beautiful malt expression: creamy and honeyed with layers of citrus/pear fruit; hay, florals and oats; and that ever-persistent biscuit element.
Finish
The finish is long and toasty, with crème brûlée notes and a touch of salinity.
