Description

A symbol of resilience and heritage, this wine is sourced from a single vineyard, Jacob's Creek Block 2, planted in 1922, a Barossa Centenarian Vine at 100 years of age. Delight in our exquisite L Riesling, carefully harvested from vines rooted in the rich soil since 1922. Its delicate hue captivates the eye, while its bouquet unveils a symphony of aromas: from the zesty freshness of hand-squeezed lime to the nostalgic charm of Bickford’s lime cordial, intertwined with the tang of grapefruit and the subtle allure of orange blossom. Notes of crushed river stone, ethereal white flowers, almond paste, and a whisper of bath salts add layers of complexity. This Riesling, elegantly dry and bursting with fruit essence, embodies a serene poise, guided by a luminous mineral undertone. Its finale is a flourish of lime, leaving an indelible impression on the palate.

Review

Riesling sourced from 1922 plantings. Pale in the glass with lifted aromas of freshly squeezed lime, Bickford’s lime cordial and grapefruit with hints of orange blossom, crushed river stone, white flowers, almond paste and bath salts. Dry, fruit-pure and displaying a lovely sense of composure with a bright mineral line and an expressive, limey finish.
