Lignier Michelot Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2014

There is a top note of menthol to the essence of red cherry liqueur, spice and pretty floral nuances. The impressively rich middle-weight flavours possess excellent volume as the old vines are very much in evidence, all wrapped in a velvety, sappy and moderately firm finale. This relatively robust effort will need a few years of cellaring first but should drink well on the earlier side.
