Earthy and spicy red fruit aromas can be glimpsed through a fog of reduction though again, the flavours are not disrupted as they are pure, round and sweet with a lush character to the more structured and linear finish that offers ample vibrancy and persistence. I quite like the mineral firmness and there is an element of sophistication here that is relatively rare in a village where the reds tend to display a distinct rusticity.
