While there is a whiff of reduction, it's not so much as to unduly suppress the cool, airy and elegant nose of green apple, citrus and white flowers that are trimmed in moderate oak. There is fine intensity and power to the markedly mineral-driven and imposingly-scaled flavours that culminate in a saline, austere and brooding finale. This is going to need a few years to better flesh out and to further develop depth but it should be lovely in time.
