A powerful stink of ripe currants, berries, cranberry, stewed plum, ash, and choc-liquorice. Sweet, pretty, and a huge start. Creamy, rich flavours and texture, more of the same as the bouquet but dialled up somewhat, sweet and ripe and so darn hedonistic. Such a colossal wine, so unashamed and attention-grabbing, pleasure to the fore for those seeking heft, power, cult wine status and generally just a rollicking, memorable experience. This is done well in relative balance for its dominating style. Epic.
