Description

A symphony of aromas unfolds in this multi-layered Barbera, revealing enchanting notes of wild berries, velvety chocolate, and a hint of invigorating mint. Brimming with power, luscious fruit, and full-bodied richness on the palate, this Barbera culminates in a spicy-opulent finale that leaves an indelible impression.

Noteworthy for its capacity to mature with grace, this wine beckons enthusiasts to savor its evolving complexities over time. Crafted from a scarce and exclusive extract sourced from just under 1.4 hectares of meticulously tended vineyards, this Barbera is a rare gem. Its limited edition nature ensures that it is eagerly sought after, often selling out in the blink of an eye. An experience not to be missed, this Barbera captivates with its allure and leaves an enduring mark on discerning palates.

Nestled in the heart of Castiglione Falletto, the steep terraced beauty of the Scarrone vineyard unfolds with a captivating south-eastern exposure. Rooted in history, the oldest parcel of this vineyard dates back to 1918, boasting a density of 4,300 grapevines per hectare. The rich marl soil, a harmonious blend of clay and limestone, imparts a distinctive character to the grapes.

A testament to the vineyard's age and meticulous care, the naturally low yield is further refined through a stringent grape selection process. Handpicked with utmost precision, the grapes undergo destemming and a brief cold maceration period before embarking on a transformative journey in stainless steel tanks for approximately two weeks.

Throughout the meticulous alcoholic fermentation, a dance of remontage and délestages is choreographed, ensuring the perfect extraction of color and tannins. This intricate process enhances the wine's complexity, embodying the essence of Scarrone's singular terroir.

A suave, vibrant red, with sweet spices swirling around a core of plum, black cherry and blueberry. Supple in texture, with a line of dusty tannins on the finish. Balanced, just needs time. Decant now.
