Description

The 2021 Tyrrell's Wines 8 Acres Shiraz is an outstanding expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz, crafted from fruit sourced from the iconic 8 Acres vineyard. Flavours of dark fruit are complemented by a touch of spice, with a hint of mocha on the finish. The wine's acidity is well-balanced, providing a refreshing lift to the full-bodied palate. This is a wine of exceptional finesse and complexity, with a long, lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression of its impeccable quality. It is a wine that can be enjoyed now but will also age gracefully over the next decade or more.

Review

Deep purple/red colour. Exotic sweet cherry aromas, a hint of boiled lolly or fruit bonbon, the palate savoury and drying, intense and quite powerful, with tremendous persistence on the aftertaste. A remarkable wine of impressive intensity and length, although only medium to full-bodied. A delicious core of sweet cherry flavour that lingers on and on.
