Description

Grosset Wines is a small family-run operation entering its fifth decade. The unwavering vision is to create pure expressions of variety and place. Our four estate-owned vineyards, A-Grade Certified Organic and Biodynamic (ACO), are located in high altitude country of the Clare Valley, each site selected for its potential to produce great wine and planted by Grosset. Each is handpicked and hand pruned; each bunch of grapes harvested at optimum ripeness.

This wine is a delightful surprise, unveiling a nearly riotous array of aromatics. It greets the senses with a delightful bouquet of floral notes, where hints of zesty lime juice and subtle beeswax mingle, though it's the white flowers that take center stage, lending it an almost joyful and playful character.

On the palate, it exhibits a remarkable poise, with a tightly-woven, fine, and intense texture. A pure, unevolved essence of lime juice runs at its core, offering a glimpse into the wine's intrinsic depth of flavor and enduring intensity, which are poised to become the defining qualities of this aged gem. And, one cannot help but marvel at the continued aromatic splendor.

As for cellaring, the enigmatic Jeff simply suggests, 'As long as you like,' with a potential aging horizon of up to 25 years, or the option to savor its charms right now.

This exquisite elixir is crafted from Riesling grapes nurtured at the Grosset Polish Hill Vineyard, an A-Grade Certified Organic and Biodynamic (ACO) sanctuary.

Unfined and boasting vegan and vegetarian-friendly credentials, this wine will grace the shelves with its presence.

Grosset’s Polish Hill is renowned for its reserve, particularly on release, but this rendition has both its quality and its fruit intensity sitting front and centre. This really does announce itself. Flavours of lemon, lime, grapefruit, chalk and citrus blossom explode onto the palate in the most commanding and authoritative of ways, and then extend (mighty) lengthily through the finish. It’s a lay down misére. It’s scented, intense and sustained. It’s a wine of great beauty.

A textbook Springvale of fantastic purity and precision, celebrating a stunning season in pristine granny smith apple, lime and lemon fruit that carries with impeccable mineral tension, vibrant acidity and outstanding persistence. One of the greats.

Nose
This surprises with its almost riotous aromatics. Delightful floral aromas with hints of lime juice and beeswax - though it's white flowers that dominate. It's almost joyful or playful
Palate
On the palate, tight, fine and intense; a pure and unevolved thread of lime juice at its core. It has depth of flavour and intensity in its infancy with the suggestion that these will become hallmarks of the aged wine.
