Established in 1998, Craggy Range is a family owned winery producing a collection of iconic wines from grapes grown on exceptional sites in Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough, New Zealand. From the stony, warm soils of the Gimblett Gravels vineyard in Hawke’s Bay to the volcanic, clay soils of the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough, these revered vineyards produce profound wines of great longevity, purity and complexity.

80% Merlot, 20% Tempranillo

Individual parcels grown in their Hawke's Bay Vineyards are carefully selected for balanced flavour and freshness. Harvested, then gently pressed for careful colour and flavour extraction.

A cool, late winter delayed bud break, followed by a mild spring with winds that reduced yields. A warm, dry summer led to extended hang time. It was an iconic season, resulting in a concentrated yet fresh outcome.
