Sordo Barolo DOCG 2016

Old Jamaica chocolate, orange, red cherry, a bit of new leather and aniseed. Red fruits, succulence, almond, bright acidity with a sweet orange tang, fine dusty tannin offers grip, and a firm long finish, slight bitterness. Quality

Strong dark chocolate, liquorice, sweet earthy scents with whiffs of dried red berries and touches of game meat. Good bouquet. The palate is quite firm, slender, sour cherry, earth and game meat character with very fine, pulverised rock tannin and mineral feel. A touch breathy and warm through the finish but that should settle down with air and/or cellaring.
