De Bortoli Lusatia Chardonnay 2019

From the Lusatia Park vineyard planted at Woori Yallock in 1985 and purchased by the De Bortoli family in 2016. The fruit for this wine is from the A Block. Whole-bunch pressed, this went through a natural ferment in older French casks and it was left to rest until November, when it was gravity racked to vats for a further 3 months before bottling. A very bright and fresh green gold. Aromas of ruby grapefruit, lemon butter on charred toast, with some lightly grilled cashews. Fleshy on entry, the palate is well balanced with good weight. A fine line of acidity runs through the wine culminating in an impressive, wet-stone finish.
