Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Blanc is a white wine coupage of Chardonnay and Aligoté of AOC Coteaux-Bourguignons made by Louis Jadot.
Louis Jadot is a large producing and trading winery founded in 1859. They make wine with grapes from their own estate and they also buy grapes and wine that they produce and bottle under their own name. They manage about 210 hectares of vineyards exclusively in Burgundy. The winery even owns a cooperage and makes its own barrels that are used to ferment or age its wines.
Coteaux-Bourguignons is a new Burgundy denomination that was created in 2011. It covers the Grande Bourgogne, Auxerrois and Beaujolais regions. Wines can be made with the native Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay and Aligoté varieties. One of the advantages of this new Apellation is that it allows the production of coupages and single-variety wines.
Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Blanc is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the full freshness and fruit of the wine. The different varieties are mixed for a short time only before bottling.
Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Blanc is an intense wine with elegant and harmonious notes.
