This is a complex and powerful wine, befitting of its Reserve status. It is selected from a rigorous barrel selection process, and less than 10% of the total Pinot Noir production is considered to be of such quality as to qualify.

Huon Hooke

Impressively deep red-purple colour, bright and clear, the bouquet big on dark-cherry to blackberry, bold fruit and not overtly whole-bunchy, while the palate is full and rich and succulent, loaded with lovely ripe cherry/berry fruit and superfine tannins in superb harmony. Long finish; truly satisfying. An outstanding pinot noir with a bright future.

Tasting Profile

On opening the nose is aromatic, with lifted raspberry, red cherry, red liquorice and thyme aromas.
The palate reflects the cooler vintage, intense red berry and red cherry flavours matched by bright acidity. With excellent length and tannin structure.
