Medium-bodied, aromas of plums and cherries have concentration, interweave black pepper, roses, thyme bush and savoury elements. Well-proportioned fragrant aromas filled the glass; fruit has balanced ripeness and depth, intermixed savoury components added interest; supple tannin extraction leaves a silky mouthfeel. This is an elegant Pinot Noir with fragrant fruit, balanced savoury attractions and pretty features. Match with venison carpaccio and smoked duck breast over the next 3-4 years. Fruit sourced from Southern Valleys, fermented in open-top fermenters with 20% whole bunch to 12% alc. Aged for 11 months in a mixture of oak cuves and barrels. 18/20 pts
