A captivating crimson hue introduces this Nuits Saint Georges Pinot Noir, offering an earthy nose reminiscent of Nuits with a subtle infusion of vanilla bean; on the palate, the experience unfolds with smoky, velvety-textured fruit devoid of tannins but perfectly balanced by lively acids, resulting in an exquisite and weightless Pinot expression that showcases the harmonious marriage of flavors; meticulously crafted from a blend of fruits sourced from five distinct climates—Plateaux, Belles Croix, Fleurières, Brûlées, and Chaliots—encompassing a 2-hectare surface on the Henri Gouges property, these vines flourish at the southern foothills of Nuits Saint Georges, on deep soils enriched with clay, alluvium, and limestone gravels; presenting a pure and generous character, this wine, a testament to its terroir, requires a few years to fully unveil its true potential, promising a journey of depth and refinement.
Racked to tank to bottle before Christmas. A massively deep black colour with a purple rim. The nose is supercharged, too flamboyant perhaps, but works better in the mouth. Some pepper behind with plenty of juice, recognisably Nuits with very good length.
