Description

Domaine de Chatillon is the personal project of Ed Peter, the owner of the famed Yarra Valley estate Yarra Yering. Vines up to 40 years of age grown in the Chautagne area of Savoie close to Lac de Bourget (which used to be called “Chatillon”) southeast of Annecy in the French Alps. The label depicts the castle Chateau de Chatillon which dates back to 1125 and has now been refurbished into a residence, situated on the property.

Tasting Profile

Nose
Vivid purple violet colour with very appealing violet, rose petal, raspberry fruit, and white pepper, wet stone aromas, on the palate its medium-bodied plush, and fresh with supple well-integrated tannins.
Palate
It shows ample juicy strawberry, red currant, some blueberry, red cherry, sour plum, spice flavours, and a hint of cacao with a lingering clean refreshing finish and a hint of savouriness.
